Redmayne Bentley strengthens service with Southport and Liverpool merger

Investment management and stockbroking firm Redmayne Bentley has strengthened its North West presence by merging its Liverpool and Southport teams, with both now based in the Liverpool 0ffice in the Cotton Exchange Building, Bixteth Street.

Derek Gawne, Head of Office in Liverpool, said that as well as providing an enhanced service to investors, the move has benefits for their Liverpool business. He said: “The merger gives us the opportunity to maximise the potential from our professional connections in the Greater Merseyside area from a stronger and more robust team based in the Liverpool Business District. Together we continue to offer the traditional stockbroking and bespoke investment management that our clients and professional supporters require.

“In addition to administration support brought across from Southport, the former Head of Office, Paul McKnight, joins us in Liverpool.  He brings outstanding experience in both investment management and traditional stockbroking, having been with Redmayne Bentley for almost 18 years.”

Paul commented: “We believe that together we can provide a better, more extensive service, utilise more opportunities to promote and win new business due to the skills and experience that the team adds to that of the existing team in Liverpool.”

Nick Bettison, Director of Business and Branch Development, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Redmayne Bentley to increase its exposure and presence in the vibrant region that is Greater Merseyside and North Wales.

“The Liverpool and Southport teams are a good fit in terms of experience and expertise and this growth will allow a much more organised and sophisticated proposition to be provided to the professional services sector in the wider North West and North Wales regions.

“We will continue to have discussions with individuals and teams from other firms who are considering joining this expanded Liverpool team and see the benefit of offering our bespoke investment management services.
“Nationally, we continue to attract highly experienced investment managers who value the ability to manage their clients’ portfolios, free of mandated buy lists and models.”
