To mark its Founder’s Day anniversary on Thursday 5th December, investment management firm Redmayne Bentley is delighted to be welcoming a full house of clients and guests in the elegant Georgian library at The Devon and Exeter Institution on Wednesday 4th December.

Located in the city’s Georgian quarters, The Devon and Exeter Institution was founded in 1813. It is a living library that holds 35,000 volumes and is deemed of national importance as an intact collection in its original setting.

The Redmayne Bentley Exeter office is situated a stone’s throw away from the library, at 20 Southernhay West, in a red-brick Grade II listed Regency townhouse built in the 1780s by architect Matthew Nosworthy. Between them, they have 100 years of experience with in the financial services.

In November, Redmayne Bentley was named ‘Best Stockbroker for Customer Service’ and ‘Best Self Select ISA Provider’ at The Investment and Wealth Management Awards – one of the industry’s leading award ceremonies, which recognise the best financial service providers for excellent service and value for money, as voted for by Investors Chronicle and Financial Times readers. This is the second consecutive year the firm has been presented with the two titles.
The Redmayne Bentley Exeter office team are keen to promote the city’s architectural history and they have chosen The Devon and Exeter Institution as the setting for a talk by local historian Dr Clare Maudling: ‘Business, Blitz and Rebuilding: 50 years of Change in Exeter’. Dr Maudling will examine the changing architectural landscape of Exeter – the rebuilding plans after the Blitz and Exeter’s current architecture.

The event will take place ahead of Redmayne Bentley’s 145th anniversary in 2020 and will be chaired by Denis Oppong, Investment Manager and Head of the Redmayne Bentley Exeter office.
