Europa Metals scoping study gives $110m cost for Toral project in Spain

Europa Metals said a scoping study for its Toral project in Spain indicated it would cost about $110m to build.

The study was based on an inferred resource estimate of 16m tonnes at 7.5% zinc equivalent, with lead and silver credits.

It also estimated an internal rate of return of 24.4% and operating expenditure of $25 per tonne at steady state conditions.

'Toral is demonstrating itself to be a highly robust lead, zinc and silver project located in a first world jurisdiction,' executive director Laurence Read said.

'The initial economics from the independent scoping study are robust.'
