RPC again extends deadline for Apollo to make firm takeover bid

Plastics company RPC Group said potential takeover suitor Apollo Global Management needed yet more time to decide on whether to make a firm bid for the company.

A decision deadline had been extended to 18 January, back from the already-extended deadline of Friday.

'Discussions are well advanced and Apollo has confirmed to RPC that its due diligence is now substantially complete,' RPC said.

It added the customary caveat: 'There can be no certainty that any offer will be made for the company, nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made.'
