Galantas Gold delivers first concentrate from Omagh mine in Northern Ireland

Galantas Gold Corporation said it had delivered the first concentrate from underground feedstock at the Omagh gold mine in Northern Ireland.

The 25 tonne consignment, destined for Glencore's New Brunswick smelter, was the result of processing limited feed from the Kearney vein.

Recent analytical test-work had confirmed that the processing plant was meeting quality expectations.

Mine development was expected to be enhanced by a recently-delivered new underground loader, designed specifically for narrow vein production.

'I am delighted that the first concentrate from underground development has been delivered, which will result in near-term cash flow,' chief executive Roland Phelps said.

'We continue to make solid and determined progress towards commercial production.'
