Wednesday preview: UK, euro area services and Fed minutes in focus

(Sharecast News) - Financial markets' focus in the middle of the week would be on services sector activity on either side of the Channel.



At 0900 BST, S&P Global would release a final reading for its June services Purchasing Managers Index for the single currency bloc.

It would be followed half an hour later by the results of an equivalent survey for the UK.

At 1900 BST, investors' attention would shift to the US, when the Federal Reserve was due to release the minutes of its last policy meeting.

On the corporate side of things, electrical retailer AO World as due to publish its full-year results.

Since the lows hit back in August, the company had guided higher on its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation as recently as March.

That was followed during the next month by updated guidance for UK revenues of £1.13bn while EBITDA was seen hitting the top end of the previously guided range.

Then in June Mike Ashley's Fraser Group bought a 19% stake i the business.
