Redmayne-Bentley named Best Full Service Stockbroker

Redmayne-Bentley has reaffirmed its commitment to outstanding customer service after investors voted it Best Full Service Stockbroker at the Investors Chronicle / Financial Times Investment and Wealth Management Awards 2017.

The prestigious national award identifies and rewards the best products and financial service providers in the industry.

Speaking after the awards ceremony at London’s Glaziers Hall last night, David Loudon, joint chief executive, said: “We want to thank our clients who have voted for us to receive such an important award. It reflects our client-centred ethos and values which remain at the heart of everything we do.”

About to celebrate its 142nd anniversary, Redmayne-Bentley is one of the largest independently-owned investment management and private client stockbroking firms in the UK. With offices across the UK, the firm has a full range of services that are suitable for different life stages, from investment management through to traditional stockbroking, dealing with advice and tax efficient investments.

David added: “In an industry which is rapidly changing, and with a wider range of products and services coming onto the market, the challenge to stand out from the rest is becoming greater all the time.

“We believe it is important to offer the opportunity for personal contact. As well as offering a straightforward telephone-only dealing service, we aim to empower clients to make informed investment decisions by sharing information such as research, company results and updates and other up-to-date industry news. This allows clients to speak to an investment manager or stockbroker who is qualified and fully able to help manage their investments.

“We usually get to know our clients over the long term – often across generations. Through our investment management service, we seek to understand precisely what the client wants to achieve, whether they’re seeking to boost their income post-retirement or fund future school or university fees. Clients also speak to us for support to mitigate inheritance tax, or advice around ISAs and Junior ISAs. Whatever support they need, clients know we are here at the end of a phone or face-to-face if they need to talk to us.

“This accolade is a clear vote of confidence in what we are doing, and this is why it means so much to us.”
For clients who still wish to have control over their own portfolio but feel that they would benefit from some guidance, Redmayne-Bentley offers a ‘Dealing with Advice’ service. This service is designed to assist clients by providing guidance and expertise on individual transactions.

One client, who has been involved with financial markets for more than 40 years, moved his company's accounts to Redmayne-Bentley and now also holds a Self-Invested Personal Pension with the firm. He said: “I was very impressed with the way this was handled. I have recommended you to my friends and I am delighted with you. You have all been so professional.”
