Redmayne Bentley is delighted to announce that it has been ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Approach to Wellbeing’ award at the inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Awards held by PIMFA on 20th October.

PIMFA is the trade association for wealth management, investment services and the investment and financial advice industry, a sector which looks after £1.65tn in private savings and investments and employs over 63,000 people.

There were close to 100 entries for the awards, which were judged by a group of industry peers, alongside experts in diversity and inclusion from charities that PIMFA partners with.

Liz Field, Chief Executive of PIMFA, commented: “That so many firms and individuals have taken the time to demonstrate the work they are doing to improve Diversity & Inclusion across our industry is proof that this is an issue that is being taken seriously by all of us, large and small. There are some truly great D&I initiatives out there, so it was not easy for our judges to select those organisations and people for each shortlist.”

The high commendation for the ‘Best Approach to Wellbeing’ award was in recognition of Redmayne Bentley’s &You wellbeing framework, an initiative created and developed to support one of the firm’s key strategic themes around developing its people.

The framework considers physical and mental health and wellbeing, individual finances, the working environment, and the communities in which the firm’s individuals are present. It offers support, advice, guidance, ideas, initiatives, activities, challenges, research and provides access to mental health first-aiders, who work in the firm and are on hand to support colleagues.

Liz Dean, Director of Human Resources at the firm said: “I’m both delighted and proud of what has been achieved. We started working on this initiative last year and launched it across the firm earlier in 2021.

“From inception through to implementation it has been whole-heartedly supported by all Board members at Redmayne Bentley.

“The vast majority of colleagues across the firm have helped shaped the framework through the feedback they gave. A dedicated team has created and developed the &You wellbeing framework - which is in place for all individuals at the firm.

"While we'll always be committed to looking after our clients' investments, it’s very important that we take responsibility for supporting all our colleagues too. It’s a win-win all round.”
