Kate Spurling joins Redmayne Bentley

Investment management and stockbroking firm Redmayne Bentley is continuing to expand its Bournemouth and Poole presence as it welcomes Investment Manager Kate Spurling.

Kate brings 25 years’ experience in the investment management industry in Dorset, having begun her career as a university placement student in 1992 at Robson Cotterell in Bournemouth. She later joined the team as a Stockbroker and Investment Manager, after graduating from Bournemouth University with a BA Financial Services (Hons) in 1994.

Robson Cotterell was taken over by Charles Stanley in 2002 and Kate initially moved to their Bournemouth office followed by a move to their Dorchester office in 2003. Kate remained at Charles Stanley until shortly after the merger of the Bournemouth and Dorchester offices in October 2019. She joined the Redmayne Bentley Bournemouth and Poole office in November 2019.

Kate said: “I am really pleased to be joining a firm with such a strong reputation for excellent customer service. I am enjoying being a member of the team at the Bournemouth and Poole office, based in Ashley Cross. After spending 17 years with the same firm, it was a big leap but my new colleagues both in my office and our head office in Leeds have been very welcoming and supportive. I look forward to many years of providing stockbroking and investment management services to clients both old and new.”

Stephen Wolstenhulme, Head of Office, said: “We are delighted to welcome such an experienced and knowledgeable Investment Manager to our growing Dorset presence. Kate is very well-regarded both in the industry and by her long-standing clients. She is a great addition to the team.”
