BAT evaluating disposal of 'small part' of its ITC shareholding

(Sharecast News) - British American Tobacco said on Tuesday that it is evaluating a possible disposal of a small part of its shareholding in Indian hotel chain ITC via an on-market trade. Responding to recent speculation, BAT said in a brief statement that there can be no certainty that any such transaction will proceed, nor as to the terms of any potential transaction.

A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate, it added.
