US Treasury Secretary expects trade war with China to de-escalate

(Sharecast News) - The head of America's Treasury believes that the trade war with China will de-escalate. Scott Bessent made the behind-closed-door remarks to attendees at an investor conference hosted by JP Morgan.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Bessent noted that while negotiations had not yet begun, a deal was still with Beijing was still possible.

Bloomberg had earlier reported Bessent's remarks.
