Eurozone CPI dips to 2.4% in February ahead of ECB rate call

(Sharecast News) - Eurozone inflation fell slightly to 2.4% in February, further boosting the chances of another rate cut by the European Central Bank on Thursday.

The figure compares with a reading of 2.5 in January and expectations for 2.3%. Core inflation, which strips out volatile items such as food and fuel dipped to 2.6% from 2.5% as services inflation slowed to 3.7% from 3.9% last month.
