Synergia Energy appoints CFO to executive board

(Sharecast News) - Synergia Energy announced the appointment of Andrew Darbyshire as an executive director on Tuesday, effective immediately. The AIM-traded firm said Darbyshire, who became the company's chief financial officer in November, was bringing extensive experience in finance and corporate strategy.

A qualified accountant since 2011, he started his career at Garbutt & Elliott before moving into audit at Grant Thornton.

In 2014, he joined Getech Group, where he played a key role in establishing its finance team and later became a board member in 2018, overseeing several acquisitions.

He holds a master's degree in mathematics from the University of York and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

At 1340 GMT, shares in Synergia Energy were up 1.09% at 0.05p.
