VH Global energises hybrid solar-battery system in Australia

(Sharecast News) - VH Global Energy Infrastructure announced on Monday that it has successfully brought a new hybrid solar and battery energy storage system online in Australia, marking further progress in its renewable energy deployment across the country. The London-listed firm said the asset, located in New South Wales, was energised on time and within budget.

It said the project comprises a solar photovoltaic installation coupled with a two-hour, 4.95MW battery energy storage system (BESS).

The asset was currently operating under a ramp-up process overseen by the local network operator.

VH Global said a further hybrid asset was on track for energisation in the third quarter of the year.

Once completed, the company's Australian renewable energy programme would comprise seven assets with a total capacity of 37MW of solar generation and 60MWh of storage across sites in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

At 1006 BST, shares in VH Global Energy Infrastructure were up 1.7% at 68.14p.
