Director deals: Victrex chairwoman scoops up some shares

(Sharecast News) - Victrex chairwoman Dame Vivienne Cox picked up some shares in the manufacturer of high performance polymers even as they traded near multi-year lows. Cox bought 2,747 shares on Tuesday for 721p apiece for a total transaction amount of ££19,805.87.

Earlier during the same session, the company announced that second half underlying profits could be at a "broadly similar" level to the first as it continued to see a weaker-than-expected performance at its medical division, production issues at its new China plant and currency headwinds.
