German May CPI comes in slightly hotter than forecast

(Sharecast News) - German inflation eased to 2.1% in May, slightly above forecasts, according to flash official figures from the federal statistics agency released on Friday.

The data compares with a rate of 2.2% in April but was slightly higher than the 2% forecast by analysts for Europe's biggest economy.
