Kromek Group receives two radiation detector orders

(Sharecast News) - Kromek Group announced on Wednesday that it has received two new orders worth $0.9m for its D3 series radiation detectors, to be delivered immediately to customers in Europe and the United States. The AIM-traded firm said the European customer was focussed on civilian science and technology partnerships to address CBRN security risks, while the US buyer operates in the defence and security sector.

It said the detectors would support enhanced radiation detection, real-time data transmission, and faster decision-making in national security contexts.

"We are pleased to announce the receipt of these new orders that underscore our continued commitment to providing advanced detection solutions for emergency response services," said chief executive officer Arnab Basu.

"Our proprietary technology is instrumental in mitigating radiological and nuclear threats through rapid, reliable detection and real-time data transmission capabilities."

Basu said that in an environment marked by ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, demand for the company's solutions was continuing to grow.

"These orders reflect the increasing trust in our innovative technologies and further solidify Kromek's position as a leading provider in the critical security market."

At 1222 BST, shares in Kromek Group were up 7.22% at 6.27p.
