China open to talks with US under certain conditions - Bloomberg

(Sharecast News) - Beijing was open to talks with the US if Washington first committed to a number of conditions. Foremost among those, according to a person familiar with Chinese authorities' thinking, was that members of the US President's cabinet curb their contemptuous remarks, Bloomberg reported.

China's government also wanted to see the US stake out a more "consistent" position and to address their concerns about US sanctions and Taiwan.
