Bank of England leaves interest rates on hold

(Sharecast News) - The Bank of England left the cost of borrowing at 4.5% on Thursday, in a widely-expected decision.

The Monetary Policy Committee voted by a majority of eight to one to leave interest rates unchanged. External member Swati Dhingra argued for a 25 basis point cut.
