Airbus sees deliveries decline by 18% in January-February

(Sharecast News) - Airbus saw its aircraft deliveries fall at the start of 2025, as the company had previously anticipated. The aerospace engineer delivered 65 planes for January and February combined.

That was 18% less than over the same period of 2024, as engine deliveries from its supplier CFM had been pulled forward to the fourth quarter of the prior year.

For February alone, Airbus delivered 40 planes to clients.

The company took 14 new orders in February, taking the year-to-date tally to 69 or 65 when cancellations are factored in.

In 2024 Airbus received 33 orders during the first two months of the year.

Analyst Chloe Lemarie at Jefferies had forecast 39 deliveries for February.

Lemarie further noted that the decline in deliveries versus 2024 was comprised of airplane models which were high EBIT contributors, such as the A320 and A330.

As of 0939 BST, shares of Airbus were drifting lower by 0.28% to €172.58.
