Tuesday preview: Geopolitics, Fedspeak in focus

(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus on Tuesday will be squarely on the geopolitical space, as Washington's new trade tariffs against Canada and Mexico kick in. But the economic calendar will in fact be quite sparse, although two top Federal Reserve officials are scheduled to speak during the evening.

In the euro area meanwhile, at 1000 BST Eurostat will publish euro area unemployment data for January.

Overnight, the British Retail Consortium will release its Shop Price Index referencing the month of February.

Multiple government debt auctions are scheduled, including in the UK, Japan, Germany and Spain.
