Northamber acquires European AV distributor Epatra

(Sharecast News) - Northamber said on Thursday that it has acquired audio-visual distributor Epatra from PreHold BV and Lumen Vera as part of a share purchase agreement. Northamber said the total amount payable for the acquisition was up to approximately €2.0m in cash, compared to tangible net assets of approximately €1.9m. The acquisition will be funded from the company's existing available resources.

The AIM-listed group noted that Epatra was "a prominent distributor" of professional AV solutions, focusing on smart offices, headquartered in the Netherlands, where it has its warehouse and a further sales office, as well as a sales office in Belgium.

Executive chairman Alex Phillips said: "There is a strong synergy in strategic focus with existing Northamber business and we look forward to working together with the Epatra team to drive strategic value for all.

"We are excited to continue to invest in driving profitable growth and broadening our customer base into international markets."

As of 1125 GMT, Northamber shares were up 1.89% at 27.0p.
