Credit insurers reinstate cover for Asos suppliers

(Sharecast News) - Fast-fashion retailer Asos has received a vote of confidence after two leading credit insurers reinstated cover for its clothing suppliers. According to the Times, Atradius and Coface restored cover in January after having withdrawn it in 2023 on the back of concerns regarding tumbling profits.

Cartan Trade has also just opened up cover for the first time, leaving Allianz Trade as the only company left to reinstate cover after withdrawing it entirely two years ago.

As of 0855 GMT, Asos shares were down 2.21% at 415.40p.
