Director dealings: The Works chair invests, Staffline director linked to sale

(Sharecast News) - Among the director dealings disclosed to markets in London today involved insiders at discount stationer The Works, and the AIM-traded Staffline Group. Steve Bellamy, non-executive chair of The Works, increased his stake in the company through the purchase of 225,000 shares across three transactions.

The purchases were made between 28 and 30 January at prices ranging from 21p to 22.25p per share, with a volume-weighted average price of 22.03p.

Following the acquisitions, Bellamy held 625,000 shares, representing a 1% stake in the retailer.

Meanwhile, Staffline Group reported a reduction in the shareholding of Henry Spain Investment Services, an entity associated with its chairman Thomas Spain.

On 30 January, it sold 218,255 shares at 19.5p each as part of a client portfolio transfer.

The transaction lowered its holding to 34,977,776 shares, now representing 24.58% of the company's issued share capital.

Both transactions were conducted on the London Stock Exchange.

At 1527 GMT, shares in The Works were up 4.14% at 23.43p, while those in Staffline Group were ahead 0.13% at 19.42p.
