Earnz establishes new domestic assessment business

(Sharecast News) - Energy services company Earnz announced the establishment of SW Assessors, a new domestic assessment business operating across the UK, on Thursday. The AIM-traded firm said SW Assessors would focus on delivering PAS-standard assessments to private sector and social housing providers, supporting retrofit targets, ECO 4/GBIS volume requirements, and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

It said it had recruited a strong management team with extensive experience in the domestic retrofit sector, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to SW Assessors.

The new venture was expected to contribute to Earnz's growth strategy within the UK energy services market.

"This is an exciting next step in our strategy," said executive chairman Bob Holt.

"SW Assessors will work with our existing businesses to enhance the group's offering as well as developing its own customer base.

"This division of the group provides another high growth area to our growing portfolio of businesses."

At 1406 GMT, shares in Earnz were down 0.9% at 5.5p.
