Wednesday preview: US ADP jobs reports, Treasury bond auction in focus

(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight in the middle of the week will be on the results of a private sector survey for the US jobs market covering the month of December. Although the results of consultancy ADP's survey frequently failed to foreshadow the official non-farm payrolls data published two days afterwards, it sometimes led to a small bout of intraday volatility.

The survey findings will be published at 1315 BST.

They would be followed at 1800 BST by an auction of $22.0bn in 30-year US Treasury bonds.

Later in the session, at 1900 BST, the US central bank will release the minutes of its last policy meeting.

Earlier, at 0700 BST, Germany's ministry of finance will release retail sales figures for November.

The European Commission's economic sentiment index for November is due out at 1000 BST.

No major economic releases are scheduled in the UK.
