Investment manager Mark Rigby is seeking to complete a triple challenge this summer as he takes on Great Britain’s highest summits to raise money for a pioneering service supporting children with brain tumours.
Mark, who is the Cambridge Head of Office at investment management and stockbroking firm Redmayne Bentley, will be among a group of friends, known as Build Momentum, tackling Scotland’s Ben Nevis, England’s Scafell Pike and Wales’ Snowdon.
They will tackle the three peaks in 24 hours for Brainbow, a unique partnership between three independent charities, Anna’s Hope, the Joshua Tarrant Trust and Tom’s Trust. Mark said: “Brainbow works with Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, to fund and provide a pioneering rehabilitation service in the East of England for children with brain tumours. It does amazing work and it is a real privilege to be able to support it.”
He was inspired to take on the challenge by the daughter of a family friend, who has been helped by the charity’s work. The 11-year-old girl’s grandfather will also be part of the 10-strong team taking part in the journey.
Mark is no stranger to a challenge. In 2016, he walked around 100km from London to Cambridge for Macmillan Cancer Support. The following year, he walked the 100km Cotswold Way for Cancer Research. The combined total raised from both events was more than £2,500.
Mark and the rest of the Build Momentum team will begin their trek on 2nd June. You can sponsor Mark at
