Redmayne Bentley closes markets at the London Stock Exchange in recognition of its 150th anniversary

Main and Executive Boards closed the markets at the London Stock Exchange to mark the firm’s 150^th anniversary.

Stuart Davis, Chief Executive, of Redmayne Bentley was given the honour of closing the markets to mark the end of trading at the stock exchange. He was joined by colleagues from across the UK, representing all of the firm’s business areas, and invited guests.

“We are thrilled to be given this wonderful opportunity almost exactly to the day we were founded 150 years ago on 5^th December 1875. It feels fitting to celebrate this significant milestone at the London Stock Exchange, a place that is at the heart of investment and innovation,” Mr Davis said.

Redmayne Bentley, an investment management, stockbroking and financial planning business was founded by John Redmayne, who started his one-man business in Leeds in 1875. A century and a half later, it has over 25 offices nationwide.
