Oakley Capital Investments acquires enterprise AI data platform Graphwise

(Sharecast News) - London-listed Oakley Capital Investments announced on Wednesday that one of its funds has acquired knowledge graph and semantic data technology firm Graphwise. Oakley's Fund VI is investing up to £20m in a majority stake in the enterprise AI data platform, and will partner with the company's founders and management team to support its commercial expansion.

Graphwise is said to have over 200 blue-chip customers, improving enterprise AI by making it more accurate, auditable and able to deal with large and diverse data sets

"Graphwise does this by structuring enterprise data in a type of database called a knowledge graph, enriching it with context, meaning and connections to form what is known as the 'semantic layer'. This is increasingly viewed as critical AI infrastructure technology for businesses," Oakley said in a statement.

Oakley shares were up 0.3% at 523.48p by 1515 BST.
