Volution buys German ventilation specialist getAir for €40m

(Sharecast News) - Ventilation equipment manufacturer Volution Group has agreed to buy Germany's getAir GmbH for €40m as it looks to strengthen its position in the European residential heat‑recovery market. Volution said the deal, funded through existing debt facilities, brings in €13.9m of annual revenues and around €4m of adjusted underlying earnings. It also said the purchase will be immediately earnings accretive and add further inorganic growth momentum for the new financial year.

The FTSE 250-listed form stated acquisition will sit within its Continental Europe division, with getAir's existing leadership team remaining in place.

Founded in 2014 and based in Mönchengladbach, getAir supplies decentralised residential heat‑recovery ventilation systems to a broad range of German and European OEM customers.

Volution said tightening European building regulations and rising consumer focus on energy efficiency continue to drive demand for heat‑recovery solutions, making getAir's product portfolio a strong strategic fit.

Chief executive Ronnie George said: "getAir is a high-quality and growing business with a leading position in decentralised heat recovery ventilation in Germany, where it complements our existing InVENTer brand. The acquisition further strengthens our residential heat recovery portfolio, while also enhancing our product development and innovation capabilities."

As of 1000 BST, Volution shares were up 4.88% to 666.00p.
