Concurrent Technologies taps ex-Nexteq CEO as new products MD
(Sharecast News) - Concurrent Technologies announced the appointment of Jon Jayal as managing director of products on Tuesday, taking effect from 16 March, as the AIM-traded group continues to strengthen its senior leadership team.
Jayal was joining the designer and manufacturer of high-performance and mission-critical computer products from Nexteq, where he most recently served as chief executive.
He joined Nexteq at its inception as an electronics design engineer and later played a key role in taking the business public on the London Stock Exchange before becoming group CEO, a position he held until August 2024.
During his tenure, the company grew revenue to more than $100m, completed multiple acquisitions, expanded into new markets and launched several new products.
In addition to his operational background, Jayal was bringing experience in financial and capital markets, having previously held senior leadership roles at Mercer Investment Consulting and BlackRock.
Chief executive Miles Adcock said the appointment would support the group's growth ambitions.
"Jon brings a wealth of experience specific to products similar to ours, with a strong track record of scaling, entering new markets and driving growth," Adcock said.
"We are pleased to welcome him to Concurrent at an exciting time for the business."
At 1304 GMT, shares in Concurrent Technologies were down 0.9% at 258.65p.
