Magnum Ice Cream Company to hit markets following Unilever split

(Sharecast News) - Consumer goods giant Unilever announced on Friday that the demerger of its ice cream business, now named The Magnum Ice Cream Company, will complete on 6 December. Unilever said Magnum Ice Cream Company shares were expected to commence trading on Euronext Amsterdam, the London Stock Exchange, and the New York Stock Exchange on 8 December.

Following the demerger, Unilever said it plans to implement a share consolidation to maintain comparability of its per-share metrics, with the consolidation becoming effective on 9 December.

Unilever was forced to delay the demerger of its ice cream unit back in October due to the US federal government shutdown, which stalled a legal registration needed to list its shares in New York.
