Close Brothers delays full-year results, shares slide

(Sharecast News) - Close Brothers shares tumbled on Friday after the merchant banking group announced that it was delaying the publication of its preliminary results for the year ended 31 July.

It said its auditor had requested additional time to complete the standard audit procedures.

Consequently, the results will now be published on 30 September, rather than 23 September as originally planned.

At 1230 BST, the shares were down 5.9% at 467.84p.
