IQE trading tops expectations in first half

(Sharecast News) - IQE said on Tuesday that first-half trading exceeded expectations, with revenue expected to be at least £64m as strong demand across its core markets was led by accelerating sales of indium phosphide products for AI and data centre applications. The AIM-traded compound semiconductor wafer supplier also benefited from continued strength in aerospace and defence, alongside robust demand for 3D sensing and wireless products.

It upgraded its full-year outlook and now expects revenue growth of more than 30% in 2026, resulting in low-teens million pounds of adjusted EBITDA.

IQE ended the first half with cash of £41.6m and no bank debt.

At 1156 BST, shares in IQE were up 20.71% at 43.58p.
