SoftBank nearing deal to buy data centre investor DigitalBridge - report

(Sharecast News) - Japan's SoftBank is reportedly in talks to buy DigitalBridge Group, a private equity firm that invests in assets such as data centres. Citing people with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg said SoftBank could announce an agreement as soon as Monday for New York-listed DigitalBridge.

Terms of the deal, which is part of SoftBank's campaign to take advantage of an AI-driven boom in digital infrastructure, couldn't be learned, Bloomberg said.
