UK households' inflation expectations rise in August - BoE

(Sharecast News) - UK households' long-term inflation expectations rose in August to their highest level since 2019. According to the Bank of England's latest Inflation Attitudes Survey, expectations for inflation in five years' time rose to 3.8% from 3.6% in May.

Household inflation expectations for the coming year were 3.6%, up from 3.2% in May, while expectations for the 12 months after that rose to 3.4% from 3.2%.
