This is a great way to save a little nest egg for your children and grandchildren absolutely tax-free. CTF accounts have been available since 6th April 2005 for eligible children born on or after 1st September 2002.
A tax-free savings account for children opened with a £250 government voucher. Parents, grandparents and friends have the opportunity to top up the voucher by up to £3,600 per year. The funds can be invested in cash or stock-market related investments and will grow free of tax until the child reaches 18 when they can convert it to an ISA or withdraw the money.
Please note:
Stakeholder options are available but Redmayne-Bentley Child Trust Fund is non-stakeholder. For stakeholder we recommend HBOS.
Redmayne-Bentley's Child Trust Fund is designed for people who want to contribute the extra £3,600 per year.
