Equiniti appoints new chairman

Equiniti has announced the retirement of Kevin Beeston as chairman and the appointment of Philip Yea as his successor.

Beeston said: 'It has been an honour and privilege to chair Equiniti and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Equiniti Board and Guy Wakeley and his talented leadership team over the past 6 years, seeing the Company transition from a private company, to listing on the London Stock Exchange and now a part of the FTSE250.

'The business has an exciting future ahead of it and I am delighted to welcome Philip in to the role of Chairman.

'Philip's wealth of experience will be invaluable for Equiniti as they go into the next phase of development within the FTSE250.'

Chief executive Guy Wakeley said: 'I would like to thank Kevin for his outstanding chairmanship throughout his tenure.
