Pantheon International NAV per share up 17%

Pantheon International (PIN), an investment trust that invests in private equity funds, grew its net asset value (NAV) per share by 17% to 2,189.9p in the 11 months to 31 May 2017.

Net assets increased to £1,388m from £1,187m in June 2016.

The ordinary share price increased from 1,285.0p to 1,793.0p, an increase of 40%, and the discount decreased from 31% to 18%.

Assets in the portfolio generated underlying returns of 16.2%.

Distributions received in the 11 months to 31 May 2017 were £293m.

Sir Laurie Magnus, chairman, said: "The global private equity market continues to be competitive and valuations remain high. Nonetheless, PIP has been able to take advantage of its access to Pantheon's extensive platform of manager relationships to redeploy capital into compelling new investments across all geographic regions."
