Cobham appoints strategic adviser

Cobham has appointed Air Marshal Greg Bagwell as strategic adviser with immediate effect.

He will report to chief executive David Lockwood.

Bagwell served with in the Royal Air Force for 36 years, initially as a fast jet combat pilot, and then in a number of increasingly senior command and staff roles in both the air and joint environments.

He retired in 2016 as the RAF's Deputy Commander and head of world-wide air operations.

Cobham said he had been at the heart of UK operations, defence policy and joint warfare development for the last decade, and had worked closely with many international air and defence forces and industry partners. Lockwood said: "Greg brings a wealth of international defence experience and we look forward to the major contribution he will make to the Cobham team."
