Henderson Far East Income NAV falls

05 November 2015 14:38

Henderson Far East Income's net asset value per share fell by 11.5% in the year to the end of August on a total return basis compared with a fall of 11.8% in the FTSE All-World Asia Pacific ex Japan Index (sterling adjusted).

Chairman John Russell said: "To say that Asian markets were volatile during the period under review would be a gross understatement. For part of the year investors enjoyed a useful tailwind and the outlook appeared rosy only to run into a savage headwind initiated by the collapse of the Chinese stock market bubble. We have experienced bubbles in western markets, the most recent being in technology, but nothing on this scale."

At 2:38pm: (LON:HFEL) Henderson Far East Income share price was -3.12p at 288.88p
