ECR Minerals identifies nuggety gold deposits at Creswick project in Australia

ECR Minerals said further analysis of samples from drilling earlier this year at the Creswick gold project in Australia's Victoria state had confirmed the presence of nuggety gold mineralisation.

The highest grade duplicate result of 80.97 grams per tonne of gold came from a one metre interval.

Grade variability due to a nugget effect has been demonstrated, but some consistency between results had been seen, indicated the effect may be less severe than initially thought.

'These results confirm the presence of nuggety gold mineralisation in the Dimocks main shale at Creswick, some of which is very high grade,' chief executive Craig Brown said.

'Creswick is one of five projects owned by ECR within the Victoria goldfields and forms part of what is rapidly becoming a highly significant and strategic portfolio in the region.'
