RPC shareholders to vote next month on £3.34bn takeover bid from Berry Global

Plastic packaging company RPC Group said it expected its £3.34bn acquisition by Berry Global International Holdings to wrap up in the third quarter of 2019 following a shareholder vote next month.

A circular was posted to shareholders on Tuesday outlining the terms of the deal.

A general meeting to vote on the deal has been scheduled for 18 April.

Berry had on 22 March offered 793p per RPC share, trumping a competing offer from Apollo Global Management.
