AEW UK Long Lease REIT net assets rise on higher income, revaluation gains

Commercial investment properties owner AEW UK Long Lease REIT said first-half net assets increased on higher income and revaluation gains.

For the six months from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2018, the company reported net asset value of £78.46m and of 97.46p per share, up from £76.42m and 94.93p per share at 30 June, respectively.

The portfolio saw a gain of £1.98m in fair value of investment property in the six months to December compared with a loss £2.85m from 18 April 2017 to 30 June 2018.

For the six months from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2018, the company reported a profit of £4.15m compared with a loss of loss before tax of £4.24m from 18 April 2017 to 31 December 2017.

Total dividends of 2.75p per share had been declared for the half year, up from 1p a share from 18 April 2017 to 31 December 2017.
