Churchill China, Portmeirion up holdings in Furlong Mills

Churchill China said it had acquired another 9.5% of UK-based ceramic materials manufacturer Furlong Mills from Dudson Holdings, giving it a majority stake in the company.

The latest purchase, for £454k, had taken Churchill China's holding in Furlong Mills to 55.6%.

Based in Stoke on Trent, Furlong Mills provided processed clay body and glazes to the group and to other ceramic manufacturers.

Separately, homewares manufacturer Portmeirion said it had bought another 7.5% of Furlong Mills from Dudson for £363k, bringing its total stake in the company to 44.4%.

(LON:CHH) Churchill China PLC share price was +85p at 1275p

(LON:PMP) Portmeirion Group PLC share price was +5p at 1140p
