Nektan almost doubles revenue in second quarter

Gambling technology group Nektan said it almost doubled its second-quarter gaming revenue, driven by a rise in unique players.

Gaming revenue for the three months through December rose 83% on-year to £8.6m.

Compared to the first quarter of the 2019 financial year, gaming revenue rose 28%.

Cash wagering rose 24% on-year to £222.5m.

'We are becoming a firmly established business that is on track to be profitable in our core European business by the end of this financial year ending 30 June 2019,' chief executive Lucy Buckley said.

'Looking back at this quarter and ahead, we are very excited about the size of partners we are now attracting.'
