Everyman Media profit rises on higher box office takings

Cinema chain Everyman Media Group posted a rise in first half profit after it pulled in more at the box office.

Pre-tax profit for the six months through 5 July rose to £1.4m, up from £783k on-year.

Revenue rose 32% to £24.9m.

'Trading since the period end has been in line with expectations, reflecting a solid summer in the cinema market,' chairman Paul Wise said.
