Redx names Dr Jane Robertson as chief medial officer

(Sharecast News) - Drug discovery and development firm Redx Pharma named Dr Jane Robertson as its chief medical officer on Tuesday. Robertson, a haemato-oncologist with over 17 years' experience of clinical development in oncology, will join Redx from biotech outfit Achilles therapeutics on 1 March.

Following a handover period, Dr Andrew Saunders will step down as CMO and leave Redx after three years with the AIM-listed group in order to pursue other opportunities.

Chief executive Lisa Anson said: "We are absolutely delighted that Jane has chosen to join our team at this exciting stage in Redx's development.

"As our Chief Medical Officer, her extensive and varied experience in big pharma, biotech and clinical practice, will be invaluable as we further progress our pipeline into clinical development."

As of 1000 GMT, Redx shares were up 3.56% to 69.90p.
