Ferrexpo announces another special dividend amid strong demand

(Sharecast News) - Swiss iron ore company Ferrexpo announced a further special dividend on Friday following strong cash generation and solid demand. The company declared a special interim dividend of 6.6 cents a share. This follows dividends of the same amount in June and August and brings the total distributions for this year to 19.8 cents.

"Today's special interim dividend reflects the group's strong cash generation and is in line with the board's strategy to maintain a balance between sustainable and attractive shareholder returns, investment in growth opportunities and balance sheet strength," Ferrexpo said.

It noted that since the first half of the year, its operations have continued to perform well and demand for its iron ore pellets remains strong.

The special interim dividend will be paid on 8 October to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 25 September.
