Appeal filed in Litigation Capital-funded Queensland case

(Sharecast News) - Litigation Capital Management confirmed on Friday that an appeal has been filed in the class action it was funding on behalf of Queensland electricity users against Stanwell Corporation and CS Energy. The AIM-traded litigation finance specialist said the appeal followed a first-instance judgment against LCM's funded party, announced on 4 December.

It did not provide further details on the grounds of the appeal, but said it was looking forward to engaging with investors following the release of its interim results on 18 March.

At 1456 GMT, shares in Litigation Capital Management were up 0.62% at 65p.
